Our Story
Hi there! We’re Devin and Amanda from Southlake, TX, the husband-and-wife team behind Texas Electricity Finder. Like many Texans, we were tired of feeling frustrated and confused when shopping for electricity. We’d hear stories (and sometimes experience it ourselves!) of plans that seemed like a good deal at first, only to be hit with hidden fees or confusing terms that caused bills to skyrocket.
The Problem
Shortly after the market became deregulated in 2001, a lot of great resources became available for customers to find electricity plans. However, over time, these resources dwindled, and the market became flooded with confusing plans and gimmicks, making it hard for Texans to keep up. Many of the remaining electricity brokers are either bought and paid for by providers pushing only their most profitable plans, or they are marketing firms focused solely on web traffic. Neither is very helpful when it comes to finding the right electricity plan.

Our Team
Devin J Krebs
Devin began his career as a licensed securities trader, using his market knowledge and technological skills to design electronic trading software for some of the largest investment banks on Wall Street.
One day, after attempting to find a new electricity plan, Devin grew frustrated by the misleading information, lack of transparency, and complexities of shopping for electricity. Leveraging his technological expertise and ability to simplify complex tasks, he created tools to help him find the right plan. Realizing many others faced the same challenges, he decided it was time for something new. So, after 20+ years in financial technology, he decided to help fellow Texans with their electricity needs and founded Texas Electricity Finder.
Devin’s goal is to help customers avoid his struggles when shopping for electricity by educating and empowering them to find great electricity plans and connect with reliable providers.
Amanda Krebs
Amanda spent over 16 years as a dedicated dental assistant, a career she loved. After she and Devin welcomed their first child, she chose to leave the dental field to manage their home and raise their children.
Amanda has a passion for style and fashion. She earned her cosmetology license, specializing in lashes. Though she stepped back from lashes when the demands of raising young children increased, she still loves helping people look and feel beautiful whenever possible.
Today, Amanda brings her organizational skills and creative flair to Texas Electricity Finder. She manages our provider relationships and oversees our marketing efforts, ensuring we connect with customers and deliver the best possible service.
